Application areas:

• Acquisition of terminological data (e.g. Condamines 2002, Marshman et al. 2002)
• Building and improving lexical resources like WordNet (e.g. Peters 2002)
• Ontology building and refinement (e.g. Pustejovsky et al. 2002, Sure et al. 2002)
• Question answering (e.g. Girju et al. 2003)

Different methods:

• Which relation(s) is/are considered?
• Degree of automation in the extraction phase?
