Construction of concept frames

Manual acquisition from text, supported by world knowledge and specially designed computational tools:

•  Top-level frame hierarchy: provides default information (mainly subslots)
• minimizes redundancy and synonymy of vocabulary;
• accelerates annotation process.
• Annotation tool: displays text passages of an automatically collected concept-centered corpus one by one; knowledge about the concept expressed in the text is annotated:
• concept frame has to be defined as direct or indirect subframe of a top-level frame
•  a text passage can be annotated with one or more frame name-subslot-filler-triples

The resulting database contains more than 9,000 single annotations.
