Acad. Dan Tufiș, currently Honorary Director of the Romanian Academy Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence and also senior researcher in our institute, was appointed CLARIN ambassador.
CLARIN (Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure), founded in 2012, is and European Research Infrastructure Consortium – ERIC. It is a digital infrastructure, with centres throughout Europe and beyond, which provides easy and sustainable access to a broad range of language data and tools to support research in the humanities and social sciences, and beyond. CLARIN provides access to multimodal digital language data (text, audio, video) and advanced tools with which to explore, analyse or combine these datasets.
